Our passion, at Creekside Farm, is to raise healthy grass-fed cattle. Hormones, antibiotics, or steroids are not given to our animals. Livestock is kept on rotating green grass pastures, and are feed only the highest quality hay in the winter. Our cattle are Black Angus to ensure the highest quality of healthy and naturally raised beef. No more guessing where your beef comes from. Creekside Farm raised beef is taken directly from our farm to a USDA approved butcher for processing, frozen and put in vacuumed sealed packages.
Why Grass-fed Beef?
A study at the California State University's College of Agriculture determinant that grass-fed beef nutrition includes significantly more omega-3 fatty acids and more conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) than grain-fed beef. Grass-fed beef is one of the best protein foods around and found to be higher in vitamin A and E and cancer-fighting antioxidants compared to grain-fed beef. If you are unfamiliar with CLA, it's a powerful polyunsaturated fatty acid we must obtain from our diets that's been shown to help fight cancer, discourage weight gain and build muscle. High-quality grass-fed beef and butter from healthy, grass-fed cows or other animals are the top sources of CLA.
